Bucky came back early from his mission so you both make your way to Abby's pre-school to pick her up. "She's going to be so happy to see you!'

Walking up to the classroom door, Bucky looks inside expecting to easily pick out Abby, but all the kids are dressed up. "What's going on?"

He hears a familiar shriek and a black blur attaches itself to his leg, "Papa!!"

Bucky's frown quickly turns into a smile, "Wh...what is all this?" He squats down to take a better look at Abby.

She obliges by giving him a dainty little twirl, "I's you!" Her hair is pulled back into a tight bun. Just enough smudged 5 o'clock shadow. New bangs nicely spiked. And her gloved arm painted to match his.

"But why?"

"It dwess as your favorite peoples day." She gives little hops, "Yous my favorite, Papa! Comes look!" She takes his hand and leads him to the wall posted with all the children's drawings. She searches until she finds hers. "See?? I dids it!" It's a picture of Bucky & 3 things that makes him her favorite person. He can tell Ms. Grace helped her with the words.

1. He's smart & brave.

2. He has a pretty arm.

3. He makes me and my Mama very happy.

Bucky scoops her up in a big hug. "Now that was the best thing that happened to me all day. All week! Thank you, Abigail Rose."

Not an ask, but a story about leaving comments -- not long ago, I left a comment on a fic from almost 10 years ago where the author, in their end notes, discussed how proud they were to have finished this fic (it was an incredible fic that was over 100,000 words long because they're a god and I would also just be shaky in the knees if I accomplished something so long and profound); and they also talked in their author's note how strange it was to be the ages of 22-24 when they were writing this fic and how things weren't always easy, and that they hoped the future was bright for them.

I commented about my life, right now, how I came to find their fic a decade years later from when they finished (a little sheepishly, it feels weird to talk about yourself, but it felt important somehow) -- anyways, I also talked about how reading their author's note reminded me very much of how I felt right now, and how different the world is now from 2015, and how this fic made me feel all kinds of nostalgic and good and hopeful about growing older, and how my god they were this good at 22 and I hope they're still writing -- and even if not, I hope all these years later they really are in a better place.

They replied. They replied! I was so delighted! They are indeed in their thirties! and they are indeed still writing! Things haven't gone as expected, but they've got a healthier dose of perspective on life and how to cope with the hard times now. And it was just so heartwarming to hear and learn about them. And to know that they're still around!

Just seeing that, seeing these people who write about hard times nine years ago, and leaving a comment and getting a reply, it just brings so much hope. Because you never know! You never know if someone's still going to be here, and so when they are it's kind of a-- not a miracle, but it just feels like I'm suddenly so very aware of my existence in the world and theirs too and it just -- it MATTERS. And ao3 and fanfiction in general is so unique to most media where you stare at a television or read a book, you can engage with the creator of that thing you're reading RIGHT THEN AND THERE. And you may not get a reply, or you might get this touching response that lets you feel like you're less alone in the world. It's worth the chance, right? That's what building community and stuff is all about! You can make so many friends this way!

And even if they never reply, don't you want them to know how important their story was to you? And it doesn't matter if the story was finished a decade ago or just posted yesterday, there's still a person that's there that gets to see how their art made an impact on the world. I've made a couple of friends doing this -- and even if I'm not making a friend, I hope I make someone's day a little brighter. God knows I'm always delighted whenever someone comments on my fics.

I admit I'm not perfect -- I don't always comment on fics that I read. I'm trying to be better, I've got a list of fics that I definitely should have written a comment on that I've been going through and writing out how I feel about their writing because damn people are just so talented. This wasn't for just leave a comment fest, I admit, but I do love to see your blog and your drive because it is such an important thing for writers.

I didn't know you were doing a valentines day thing, but what a great idea! I wanted to share my experience, hopefully inspire some other people to go out and comment, and now I'm going to go check another fic off my list of ones that I'd like to comment on. Better late than never!

okay so first off, I feel like lee would never be someone who cared much at all about valentine's day or saw it as a big deal, you know? she definitely is the kind of partner who feels she should consistently give you that support and care and doesn't really feel the need to designate a day to spoiling you

which is why if you're someone who likes valentine's day, you've gotta tell her so she knows exactly what your expectations are. otherwise, she's gonna feel at a loss to know what level of grandeur you're expecting on her end and she'll have nothing to go off of but her own research LMAO

if you tell her you just want her to do what she thinks is a nice gesture, and leave the planning to her for it, she'll just be a confused wreck for the first few days

eventually, though, through extensive research, she decides what'll be best is probably a gift and some kind of date, since that seems to be what most couples do and expect

her gift will either be something practical (like, if you've been having bad back pain, she'll get a back massager), or something she's observed you looking at in stores (she privately keeps a messy list of things she's seen you admiring in public so she can refer to it on your birthday or your guys' anniversary)

since she's a simp tho, she'll probably end up going with both kinds of gifts LOL

as for a date, she decides it'd just be most practical to decide on that together, so that both of you are comfortable with the idea

a lot of couples tend to do big outings, but you're well aware that lee isn't really comfortable with outings that put her in crowded spaces or take her out of her comfort zone. so, you guys settle on something simple, like going on a walk, then making dinner together and sharing it at home

which honestly still feels as intimate and special as going out. because, ofc, lee gets super busy with work, and this sometimes leads to an entire month of no pre-planned dates. time spent together, yes, but actual dates planned out are a different thing. so, reserving a slot of time just for you and her to talk, catch up and spend quality time means, like, a lot to her. honestly, I feel like quality time is probably one of her top love languages, since I think she'd need to spend a lot of time with someone to be comfortable enough to be romantically involved with them

like ACCKKKKK I'm getting butterflies thinking of it, but I can just imagine you two walking through a snowy trail, catching up, and when you're in the middle of rambling about something you're really passionate about, she's just gently smiling and feeling rejuvenated by the knowledge that, yes, this is exactly why she's so enamoured with you

if you catch her watching you and ask what's up, she'll just clear her throat and look away, mumbling, "nothing"

if you proceed to tease her, sidling to her side and nuzzling against her, she'll just roll her eyes and ignore you, but continue to keep her arm wrapped around you the entire time

when you guys cook together, you'll either play a tape or have some cheesy romance movie playing in the background, much to lee's cringing. but, it's just white noise, really, for the entire time, you two are bickering over how exact to be with the pasta recipe, with lee calling for exact precision and you insisting on a little flare to suit both your guys' tastes

as per usual, she gives into you

when you're stirring the sauce together, she leans on the counter, watching you with intense eyes, feeling her stomach clench at just how grateful she feels. to be this comfortable with someone, this at ease, is a rarity for her. she never really thought of herself as having a long-lasting relationship or partner, content with her solitude and reconciled with the idea that her discomfort with social situations would probably prevent her from finding someone who she truly feels loosened and relaxed with. so, the fact that you found her, and somehow, bore your way through her walls until you got to make a home in her chest, still makes her feel slightly astonished. and wholly grateful.

she hesitates, but pushes herself onward, knowing you'd like her to be open with her desire for affection, and walks over, giving you a back hug, chin perched on your shoulder. you laugh softly at the touch, your stomach rumbling under her arm.

"all okay?" you ask gently.

lee just breathes in your scent, quietly saying, "yeah, I'm okay"

you guys eat together on her couch, your legs tossed over hers as they stretch along the couch. she has one hand resting on your thigh, thumb smoothing over the fabric of your pants, while the other is feeding herself.

"you know, this is pretty good," you mutter wondrously when chewing. "maybe we should just run away and spend the rest of our days making pasta."

"that definitely sounds reasonable," she mutters with a faint smile, squeezing your knee. she hasn't admitted it to you, at least not yet, but she does think about that sometimes. well, a lot. how one day in the future, she'd like to retire and move with you to somewhere secluded, somewhere away from oregon. somewhere that's not tainted with her childhood, or that'll remind her of her work, no matter how proud she is of it. somewhere reserved only for the two of you. it's a big commitment, a huge one, really, but she wouldn't have ever gotten with you if she wasn't sure of her decision.

when you two swap gifts, she's biting her lip nervously, hands fidgeting on her lap as you eagerly pull a gift from the first paper brown bag she handed to you. when you find the body massager, you immediately laugh, your heart swelling with how considerate, and unorthodox, the present is.

lee, on the other hand, is watching you carefully, trying to understand why you're so amused, and if it's an indicator she did something wrong. when you notice this, your laugh falters and you lean in to kiss her cheek, mumbling, "I love it, baby. thank you."

she clears her throat, heat rising to her cheeks from the affectionate touch. inside, though, is a stirring of satisfaction and pride, the feeling only increasing by a tenfold when you pull out the plushie she got you and scream in delight.

"I, um..." she trails off, suddenly feeling a tad pathetic. "I sprayed my cologne on it. I heard some people like that."

and you definitely seem to, she observes, based on how you shove your nose into the plushie then immediately throw yourself into her lap, dotting kisses all over her face, which sends her beaming shyly.

she absolutely does not let you read the card in front of her. she just tells you to do it when she's not in the house and you're alone LMFAO

you get her some slacks, since she hates going to malls and stores and getting them herself, as well as some books and tapes she's been interested in. of course, it wouldn't be a proper gift from you without some romance involved to make her blush, hehe, so all of these are paired with something like a bouquet or flowers, or a letter with a lock of hair attached.

all of the gifts have her, like, insanely touched. again, she never thought she'd be be in this position before of having a partner who she's in a committed, devoted bond with, who she actually gets to spend this holiday with. feeling the familiarity and knowledge of her seeping in every gift you hand her, the consideration you put into all of them, has her nearly welling up. along with her mom, you're the sensitive point in her life, the one who has her shaken with fear over losing.

she does make a light joke over your romantic gift, brushing her thumb over it as her lips softly turn up. probably something along the lines of, "you're kind of a sap, aren't you?"

but, months later, when you borrow her jacket to take out the trash, stuffing your hands in her pocket, you freeze at the touch of something unfamiliar buried deep beneath her receipts. when you take it out, you nearly cry at the sight of a dried, crinkled flower from that february day.

you love her, and she loves you. what could be better than that?

+ bonus: her love letter one hundred percent has you bawling. she pours everything into it that she usually struggles to say. the part that has you downright sobbing is when she writes, "I always thought I'd be satisfied to live on my own, with nothing to account for but myself. But, I'd happily cling onto you like a shadow from now on, as long as you're okay with it. I'm yours, completely. And I promise to always keep you safe."

hey girlie! just wanted to come on and let you know that there's an author on here that's plagiarising your work. well, she claims she's never heard of safe & sound before that's why she didn't give you any credits. but before that she said she knows about it but never read it, and only know the synopsis. which i find kinda weird? she also mentioned your fic in her authors note but never actually tagged you or anything.

she says that she was inspired by a story she read on wattpad? but some of the scenes are literally identical, and almost word for word.

her disclaimers and warnings are almost same as yours too... thought that you should know about this!

next, to address the point where they claimed they never even knew my fic existed until someone commented to let them know (this conversation with the user that brought it up took place on 13 Feb). i took the liberty to scroll through my notifs and found their username liking part 4 & the masterlist of s&s on 11 Feb...

it's definitely understandable that ideas overlap or are inspired—after all safe & sound was also inspired by The Walking Dead and The Hunger Games. and personally, i think it's okay to express the same ideas in one's own flair. but i find it hard to wrap my head around the fact that they found it necessary to claim that they didn't know that s&s existed.

they did end up mentioning safe & sound in the author's note. but only to reiterate that they weren't inspired by it, but by a story they'd read on wattpad. and because s&s and said wattpad story are "exactly the same" they gave credits to me (no tags or anything of sorts). which i find it so weird because shouldn't you give the credit to the writer of that specific story you were inspired by and not... me?

the user that was engaging with them also requested for the wattpad story link but they "deleted the app" 😅

my intention is not to be petty or put myself on a pedestal, but with the indications right in my face i think i have the right to be concerned. i also want to clear up the confusion among my readers that's taken the effort to alert me about the issue!

Do you have any analysis that makes the "Maki/Mai kiss" scene abit more bearable? I can understand all the other weird stuff in JJK, but this just always bothers me; most of all because it seems so unnecessary. MeiMei's incest plot at least had a point to show her greed and manipulation. People try to explain the scene as just a very intimate way of showing love at the moment of death and I definitely don't believe Gege meant it sexual. So I keep asking, then why? It's weird in Japanese culture and most cultures to kiss a sibling on the mouth especially when neither of you are kids anymore so what was the point of purposefully drawing that? Was it that hard to find a way to express grief/love between sisters that didn't involve an incest moment? Was it to play into Mai's characterization as having her first crush be "Maki or Megumi"? Am I just supposed to accept it as another weird quirk of Gege? For now, I'm holding on that it was necessary to transfer CE because I really really hate it and hope it's removed from the anime.

To be very honest, it didn’t stand out to me much, so thank you for bringing it to my attention. When I first read it, I foolishly thought it was like CPR 😓 (I’m an idiot for skimming it).

I read it properly this time. 🫡

To be honest, I agree with you, and to be really transparent, it made me a little bit uncomfortable too 🤔 Not homosexuality, but rather, the need for a kiss in that context between siblings.

So, I sat with it for a bit and after having had a think about it; considering the other parallels with “twins” that we are aware of... my own interpretation (at least preliminarily), is that it isn’t sexual as you also seem to feel/believe. There just aren’t any other signs that it should be interpreted that way.

Further to that, I also know/sense Gege isn’t the type of author/mangaka who sexualises things. I have faith in him as a self-deprecating man who avoids making his characters “sexy” for no reason.

Sorry, this for a bit long, so… More under the cut:

Thinking about the pace of the story, themes, interactions, and narrative thus far, I don’t think Gege wanted it to be romantic or even sexualised, because there are many other ways to express the “perversion” of a scene... like a breast grope? It would be convenient, and it wasn’t done - so, I think this is an indicator in itself it wasn’t sexual. The next scene cut to the death fantasy we see many characters being given. So it seems to depict that death was at least occurring when Mai & Maki’s lips touched.

At least, imho. Based on logic and deduction.

Also… as for the fear over how/why it could be interpreted as such (sexual) could be due to several factors in the fandom’s belief of Mai having a preference for women.

Which is fine and I appreciate that need for a young person to explore their sexuality or preferences. My view of Mai is that she was trapped on a path where she was not allowed freedom. Just like Maki (and many others like Yuji who felt they were born to be a vessel, and Gojo & Geto as the strongest that needed to hold a heavy responsibility, and Kamo who had a lesser-known arc).

This seems to be a themes Gege revisits that has shaped the jujutsu world that needed reforming. Geto tried to change the world, Gojo tried to change the students that made up the jujutsu future.

After doing some digging and thinking about these central themes, I think it also touches on character growth through parallels and foreshadowing. It isn’t a story about romance, to paraphrase Gege’s words, I’m reminded of the only other kiss we saw which was like a binding vow between Yuta & Rika in which the latter was also a curse. And then there is the subject of pain that leads to focus and growth. And we can’t ignore how Yuji broke free from the “cog mentality” which demonstrated transcendence in his character growth... I’ll expand on this as we go along. I hope I’ll make sense.

Anyway… We also know Gege is a bit liberal and finds opportunities to draw or depict characters who are on the fringes of Japanese society (like Larue, Miguel, orphans, people within oppressed systems, etc.) and some have had opportunities to love, but face obstacles or tragedy.

So, unrealised potential and broken/shattered dreams plague many of them. Death also comes abruptly and unfairly... so with Mai, I wonder if her openness to “unconventional love” / affection / a crush like with her sister or Megumi or even with Takada - simply represents all the things she may have wanted to have - freedom to be herself and to explore - but it was a path that could never be.

Also, a crush is sometimes also like a sense of love or longing - and we know Gege likes pure love as a central theme that is the underside of a curse.

It’s not a far stretch to say that Maki and Mai were cursed. And there was a pure love between them. When you’re young, I think only pure love exists anyway. I think we as a fandom have to also be careful not to sexualise things...

Like many other characters, it was as if her presence as a twin was doomed from the start. They were doomed as long as they were split as two entities. For her to say that she knew it would come to this (“gonna happen one day” seems to mean that she had already prepared herself for the possibility that she would die for Maki.

For the parallel to be drawn between Yuji & Mahito, with the latter bringing it up first, and then for Yuji to demonstrate that he sat on that statement (adding that his instinct was initially to reject it), showed initial growth. He expressed relating to Mahito “I am you”. Overall, this was regarding their innate instincts (to save and to kill) and as a character with a role.

I am reminded of this scene, where Maki reflected on the path they were on. Being separated or even rejected (the rift/conflict between them). And what she was bestowed with... idk if it’s a binding vow of sorts, but this seems to tie together with Yuji accepting his role at this stage.

For more character growth… We saw Yuji expand on the “i am you” theme relating to predestined roles, etc.

So with Sukuna, he echoed the same sentiment/phrase - I see it as a demonstration of empathy (much like Gojo -> Sukuna — in wanting to reach him) where he was expressing relating to being born a curse/was cursed but did not have to choose to remain one. And in becoming one, or in embracing themselves wholly, they could exist. (Also, in both circumstance, one died and the other lived. More on this later when I address the actual kiss).

There may be more to unpick about that, or an even deeper meaning, but it seems to say that there are many parallels and connections between characters in their trajectory as well as their fates. Mai and Maki said the same thing...

So I doubt that there was anything romantic about their relationship. It seemed like an inevitable thing that the stronger of the two would have to die for the other to thrive/survive.

But what becomes of the soul... I have no idea. This is a mystery! Now this is a Gege quirk for not explaining it. If Sukuna’s twin’s soul could reincarnate, maybe Mai did? Or did Mai’s essence become imbued in the katana? I really... have no idea.

I hope this line of thought helps make that scene easier to swallow.

As for the kiss. I’m reminded again of Sukuna - who devoured/ate his own twin to become “whole”. Maki and Mai had to become one in order for Maki to reach her full potential. She also had to experience loss and pain in order to find a stronger reason or resolve. Doesn’t this remind you of both Gojo and Yuji (and countless others? Even Megumi? Is that what it means to retain humanity? To have known/treasured something only to have lost it, for someone to be able to find a reason to live? Hmm.)

It’s possible that it was an exchange of CE, as we know it took everything Mai had to make a weapon for her sister. If I’m not mistaken, she took whatever Maki might’ve had, in order to complete it.

Again, as soon as their lips connected, we saw the death vision/fantasy scene... that seems pretty telling.

Could it also symbolise the unity of the soul, to connect in such an intimate way? Like a “breath of life” that CPR would bring. Mai said that their connection / relationship went far everyone a binding vow. So maybe we could also see it as her exchanging a vow with her sister. Like allowing herself to be consumed by her sister in a symbolic way, and the vow/exchange was - she took Maki’s CE and gave her sister a weapon (her life). Also reminds me of Rika and Yuta. In her death... Yuta gained Shikigami Rika. An exchange.

Anyway, those are my thoughts and ponderings.

Without further ado, some of my Cartman headcanons!

Alright, first and foremost let’s get some of the basics out of the way. When I set out to write EWILY, I had a really specific image of what I wanted Eric to be like. He was actually the first character design I started drafting… while waiting at the hospital for my niece to be born ahaha.

Like, he had to be a bit of a neckbeard, Discord Mod loser. I’m sorry, I simply cannot imagine teenage dirtbag Eric being any other way.

So obviously I've posted the actual illustrations of all the boys, but Eric's appearance was one I was actually pretty nervous about. I don't see a ton of depictions of him having the longest hair, or being a bit scruffy looking in general. Though I agree that he probably does actually have decent hygiene habits typically, he's... Going through it in EWILY.

I also couldn’t imagine him being popular, because despite him honestly being pretty charismatic he’s still a despicable asshole and everyone in town is so used to his bullshit by this point that they’ve all but given up any hope that he’ll ever improve as a human being. His charms have become obvious manipulation by the time EWILY begins.

There is an actual story behind why the main 5 are no longer cool with him (for the most part), as is briefly referenced in chapter 7 before all hell broke loose, but that’s a story for another day.

Unfortunately, I also felt that Eric had to be smart. Is he taking all the same classes as Kyle just to fucking harass him? A little bit, though he would say it’s to ‘keep an eye on that conniving Jew’, but I think it’s pretty clear that he is actually a pretty smart and creative kid, he just doesn’t typically apply himself. Without friends to get into trouble with though, what else is he supposed to do?

I should also probably address the… antisemitism. I mean, it’s literally canon, as is him being a racist piece of shit, among other things. Look, I think there’s a time and a place to sanitize Eric’s character at least a little bit, but doing too much loses a quintessential piece of what makes him tick. I’m not gonna go into what makes people embrace bigotry, but suffice to say I personally believe a lot of his comes from ignorance and fear, especially the latter as he gets older.

On the flip side of that, I thought it would be super funny to give Eric a major fetish for Asian women! Partially inspired by my own love of k-pop, and partially from some comments Trey has made about his own… preferences, at least ones he had when he was younger. I actually pull a lot of inspiration for all of the boys from Those Bastards, despite my better judgement. It does have the nice effect of making them feel more real, though!

It also gave me the opportunity to make a very funny joke about his favorite member of a particular k-pop girl group, who has been majorly blasted online for wearing a shirt with a swastika on it… look, I saw my opportunity and I took it. The kids who got it, got it lmao.

I suppose this is a good opportunity to transition into some NSFW headcanons. This is your warning! I’ll mark the end of the NSFW stuff so you can skip it if you’d prefer!

Despite being pretty outwardly homophobic towards his friends, Eric is not straight lmao. He sure wants to THINK he is, but he’s bisexual at LEAST with a slightly stronger leaning towards women.

Initially, Eric is very confident that he needs to be the dominant one in the relationship. He would prefer women that seem submissive (hence the super racist Asian fetish, oof king just cannot be normal) and can be pretty easily manipulated, which is! Objectively gross! Bad Eric!!

Being one of the most sexual kids in the show (yes I do have a mental ranking), my brother is fucking nasty. Definitely was the one that got Stan mildly addicted to porn for a hot minute there (a headcanon I never explore but definitely need to), has a massive and extensive collection of pornography on his computer, on top of frequenting OnlyFans.

Eventually though, when he finally gets to actually feel the touch of another human being he gets over that need to be on top, literally and metaphorically. He relinquishes control VERY slowly, but eventually with a LOT of trust lets his partner have more power in the bedroom.

We see him visit a therapist a couple of times in canon, and I think he would keep that up until about the time his friends ditch him. Entering his social recluse era oof. He definitely stops seeing the point in improving himself when people are going to abandon him anyway.

So of course, he's still not a very good partner. I would get into his relationship with Yen more but, like with all the relationships in EWILY it's... Complicated.

Hi, it's me again. I decided to follow your advice and try to seek out your 'actually serious' analysis, which led me to your komahina bible, the most easy to find compilation of this supposed analysis. Here are my thoughts-

1) Overview

- Most of this 'analysis' isn't analysis but a summary/overview of the game. It's not so much a 'bible' as a children's book summary of the bible, which at that point it would be better to play the actual game itself. It's clear it was made for a presentation on the 'uninitiated' if you will, but if that's the case, you shouldn't be advertising it as the literal bible on the subject.

- When you are not regurgitating points from the game beat by beat, the screen is halfway filled with either manga panels or fanart. My gripes with manga panels are, that even though they do depict the events of the game, the way they can be depicted by the artist can be pretty subjective due to the freedom of the medium in comparison to sprites, and that the role of one character can differ depending on whose pov manga it is (chiaki vs nagito). Fan art therefore should be scrutinized even more since it fully depicts abstracted and even the fandomified version of events, leading to situations where it's either unclear what is actually happening or betrays your more shallow view of the characters (i talk abt this later.)

- When you do use pictures directly from the game it's either a possible screenshot from a memorable moment or dialog from the wiki, limited almost exclusively to the freetime events. This leads me to believe that you haven't actually played the game(there are other factors hinting towards this) or watched a Let's Play of it, but going off of merely information that's already widely known and circulating within the fandom, and easy to search on the wiki.

2) Incorrect/Questionable information

Here I'll compile a lot of information that's either plainly wrong or baffling to having come to that conclusion , leading more credence to the theory that you either haven't actually played the game or your memory of it isnt as good as you think.

-"if Nagito's plan went off of without a hitch, he would have killed anyone that was closes to him at the time" plainly wrong. Komaeda's goal from the start was to make himself the victim, so by dying this way his death could have meaning and help the others. For somebody that keeps talking about Komaeda's "Martyr complex" this is truly a weird take to have.

-"Nagito...got the nurse for sure sick" is there any proof that specifically points to Komaeda for this? I believe the takeaway should've been that Mikan got sick because she was around all of them AND she overworked herself trying to take care of them. Is this just an awkwardly phrased attempt to make more of a connection between Tsumiki and Komaeda? I don't think you needed more than the ones that already existed.

- "he helps Junko brainwash a bunch of students" Kamukura at neither point in the anime or Danganronpa 0 was ever specifically implicated in the brainwashing. He never 'helps' Junko, especially in that way. If you meant, participates in the student council killing game, you should've said that, but even then his agency and influence is limited.

-"they found the Remnants and captured them!"...no, they didn't. The Remnants presented themselves as survivors and the Foundation took them in. They handed themselves over willingly. It was a pretty big piece of the final part of the game...

3) Komaeda and Komahina

- "Nagito's habit of putting people on pedestals" Where. Sure, he certainly parrots the belief that the "Ultimates" as a unit are at the top of the food chain and should be prioritised, but its clear that doesn't exactly carry over to his classmates like teruteru, Kuzuryu and even Souda sometimes. Just because of a few positive comments refering to them as Ultimates and the trial which he literally breaks down in, this is a hard position to support.

-"Nagito manipulates Hajime into playing the game" How. He literally just told him to play it. How is that manipulation. Also, isn't it a bit unfair to put the blame on Koizumi's death to him as well? I think they were multiple factors playing into this, but sure, how else are you gonna convince people that Komaeda is a twisted fucking cyclepath that loves leading people to their deaths.

-The way that you say the Kuzuryu/Pekoyama relationship mirrors Komahina as 'I will give up my agency for you/ I just want you' is also confusing. Unless of course you mirror Peko's struggle with her agency and harmful beliefs the clan enforced on her with Komaeda's own belief system, in which case, idk man, i feel like you are giving a bit too much credit to the supposed severity of Komaeda's views and trying too hard to make Hinata the 'rational' and 'grounding' one in the relationship.

- Again, the amount of times you refer to Komaeda as a freak for doing something 'weird' or even being drawn weirdly doing it , mostly in the manga, makes me belief this isn't just an affectionate tongue in cheek joke as you claim, but an actual way in which your interpretation of Komaeda is colored.

-"it doesn't excuse his nonchalance towards tragedy and murder but explains it" what needs to be excused here exactly? Komaeda doesn't need to immediately bawl his eyes out when someone gets killed or else he's suspicious and...bad? I am confused with what you mean by this. If you mean that Komeada shouldn't be so nonchalant about murder because he's constantly trying to kill someone else, that is plainly incorrect and i explained above why.

-Posturing about Komaeda's 'black and white thinking' while in the next exact slide you show fanart of him smugly explaining he has Borderline. First, i want you to explain to me the black and white thinking in a way that isn't "oh, the friends and classmates i previously liked turned out to be fucking terrorists". I think that's a pretty justifiable situation for your thinking to go from white to black. Also, if that is enough credence to assign Komaeda BPD, you really don't know how BPD works, especially since you assigned it to the one character you constantly talk about being a freak (and also lust...pseudo lust? after).

- The insistence with Hinata not really understanding Komaeda and running away, even if he wants to understands him is pretty suspect, especially when compared to the game. Hinata is confused and overwhelmed yes, but it's not just that he wants to understand Komaeda but that he still feels fondness for him, he still follows his advice and puts his faith in him and the way he mourns him in Chapter 5 is also pretty indicative of this. It's just another part in the pattern in you making Hinata the confused, rational, 'morally pure' man that's 'tempted' by 'corrupted' manic pixie mentally ill demon Komaeda. Something tells me your priest AU isn't so much playing with dolls as much as...what you actually believe these characters dynamic is.

- The whole page where Servant is basically made into a joke about how hot and sexy and freaky he is doesn't help your point either.

-The most damning evidence of course is a drawing in the second to last slide, wherein Komaeda is supposed to be analogous to 'guy who has something wrong with him' (distorted, freak, mentally ill) and Hinata is analogous to the guy that 'is the only one that understands them' (the rational one, the relationship of understanding doesn't go both ways).

- Your slide with sources is pretty vague and unclear. Also the way that you credit "Your superior mind" before the game itself when all you've been doing is repeating and misinterpreting the plot of the game is ...ironic

So yeah, that's all I got. Feel free to 'debunk' my observations as much as you please, I just want to know if there's actual basis behind everything you just said or I should go digging for 'the actual serious analysis' yet again.

so ive been diagnosed with autism for like, 5 years (was diagnosed p late, in comparison to others) and im beginning to have some real goddamn big suspicions that i Also have adhd (because. yaknow. the gift that keeps on giving yk? lol). i have a lot of really major issues with executive dysfunction that is directly impacting schoolwork and also a lot of stuff in my life, generally. ive also got a lot of memory issues nd junk

and the thing is; ive got a therapist, but due to a whole slew of things im really scared to like, bring this up with her yk? and, like, im a minor so i cant exactly just seek it out myself yk? and i cant really talk to my parents about it because my mom is a very specific kind of vaguely ableist and my dad generally just isnt involved with that whole section of my being, yk? like, he doesnt manage any of my therapy, aside from bringing me to appointments when my mother isnt available.

and like, ive brought certain things UP to my therapist before and it went mostly ok, aside from one pretty distressing misunderstanding but it feels different for this one because i really do need medication for this, i feel. and thats a whole thing with my mother specifically, since at the start of the whole diagnosis process she outright refused the idea of medication and like. idk man, im so super sorry to write a whole bullshit essay when you're literally just vibing but yk. idk who else to ask lol, and you seem like you know what youre doing i guess?

I'm sorry you're struggling with this. Your therapist should be someone you can talk to about things like this but I understand being anxious about it. Are you afraid to bring it up because she's said ableist/anti-adhd stuff in the past or you have reason to suspect she won't help? If that's the case I really recommend trying to get a different therapist if you can. You deserve a therapist you feel safe sharing things like this with.

If it's impacting schoolwork it might be worth talking to your teachers to see if there's any additional support you can get from them. You don't have to tell them you suspect ADHD if you don't want to, you can just tell them you've been struggling with certain aspects of school and hopefully they can help. School is hard for lots of people so know you're not alone.

It might be different where you live, but in the UK you're able to make your own doctors appointments if you're over 16 so asking a doctor about getting a referral for a diagnosis/medication could be an option as well. Although waiting lists for that are incredibly long at the moment - I've personally been waiting nearly a year just to get an appointment 🙃

In the meantime, have you heard of How to ADHD on YouTube? Her channel has lots of videos with advice and various discussions about living with ADHD which you might find helpful.

OK so two things.

1. Everything I say is subject to change here. I actually feel like this should be in my blog bio LMAO I am forever changing bits and pieces of Captain's lore and story. I have accepted that this is just part of the creative process and I want to put time into this silly AU so uh yeah. Take everything I say with a pinch of salt.

2. The actual answer:

Well... They're actually both alive for this AU 😸 In Captain Minato and Kotone (my preferred names for them) are twins (surname Arisato) and as I said they are both alive and well :] I still haven't really thought of an explanation as to WHY its just the twins surviving the Great Seal is kind of a guilty pleasure of mine in Persona fics so i decided to include it here :]

Persona Protagonists are interesting for me because each of them have their own established personality but I do think there's a bit of room to throw in your own interpretation too! Particularly because of having the multiple dialogue options. At least that's how I personally do things. Because of this, I do find it difficult to nail down exactly how I would incorporate them both into the AU, and subsequently their relationship with Riku (I'll admit this is actually true for a lot of SEES hence why I barely mention it).

However I think I can at least say this - Riku definitely looks up to both of them as really cool figures in his life, he admires their natural leadership skills for one. The three of them have something in common - each of them are really good at masking how they're actually feeling - Minato has his "I don't care attitude", Kotone has this cheerful polite persona (which is also very much a mask) and Riku has his whole bravado look at me thing going on. And the former two are very very good at seeing past the latter's BS LOL.

As for how much Riku actually knows, he does know a fair bit of what happened during the events of P3. Just not the whole death living inside Kotone/Minato + them somewhat dying to seal away Nyx thing. Yeah that's a story he isn't gonna understand for a WHILE (unless you wanna count CATT AU)

I usually do put the descriptions in the ALT because you can edit them without people needing to reblog the amended version, but I can certainly copy-pasting it in the text itself, and I'd especially be interested to know if more people would appreciate the ID in the text itself.
